Rod Perkins Opportunity Grant
Named in memory of founding board member and first board president, Rod Perkins. Rod was an accomplished athlete, musician, dancer, businessman and above all, a proud native Norfolkian. He had a vision to provide local children with enrichment opportunities through and beyond those provided by local schools, institutions, or individual means,
which was realized though the NCCF.
This Grant is awarded to individuals or organizations seeking to defray costs, fund events, experiences or

Don Tobias Educational Advancement Award
Named in honor of founding board member and second board president Don Tobias. Don was a long time resident of Norfolk, a committed educator through his career as a Speech Language Pathologist and above all a believer in our mission to help kids try.
This Annual Scholarship is granted to high school seniors matriculating to colleges, universities, and accredited technical training programs and apprenticeships. This Award may be deferred for up to 3 years.
